Post-Repair Inspections

A post-repair inspection is an evaluation performed by a qualified third-party. They examine the quality of the repairs performed after a car accident. The inspector will check that the manufacturer guidelines were followed to ensure that the vehicle will perform as it was intended and that it has been restored to pre-accident safety standards.

Desk Audits

Whether you have a vehicle damage estimate created by an independent appraiser, Insurance Company and/or Repair shop, we can perform a review of the file by an experienced, licensed appraiser to manage and validate the appropriate costs involved to bring the vehicle back to pre-loss condition.  This service can also include getting a secured agreed price with the owners choice of repair shop.

Desk Estimates

We provide services of writing an estimate and dealing with all supplements off photos provided by the vehicle owner, shop, Ins. Co. etc.

Estimate Disputes

Whenever a repair shop and an insurance company disagree on the repairs amounts/processes/methods.  Either party has the option of hiring an independent firm for a physically inspection and to complete an estimate for damages observed that will result in bringing the vehicle back to its pre-loss condition.

Diminished Value

A diminished value appraisal evaluates the difference in the value of a motor vehicle after a collision repair. Reports are usually compiled by an Auto Appraisal Expert experienced in the DV field and who may provide expert testimony for Appraisals, Arbitration, Mediation or Litigation in a court of law. This Assessment report is used when filing or disputing a diminished value claim against another party and/or an insurance company. The report measures a damaged vehicle’s inherent loss in value. The diminished value can be measured as the difference in the value of the vehicle before the loss to that after the loss, prior to or after repair. In most cases, even if the repair was done correctly, the automobile’s value will still be considerably less after a loss. When consumers find that a vehicle has been in an accident, most consumers will never pay the same price for a repaired vehicle as compared to one with no loss history.

Some reports include an assessment of the damage done to a motor vehicle, the quality of the performed repair, the market value of the vehicle before and after the accident. There are no set rules for measuring diminished value, and since every vehicle loses value differently, a one size fits all formula would be fundamentally inaccurate.

Subrogation Reviews

If repairs have been completed and you receive the subrogation package from the other party, our services offer the audit of the estimate, rental fee, daily storage charges to ensure the correct amount was paid.

Actual Cash Value

In property and auto physical damage insurance, one of several possible methods of establishing the value of insured property to determine the amount the insurer will pay in the event of a loss. ACV is typically calculated by one of three ways:

  1. The cost to repair or replace the damaged property, minus depreciation
  2. The damaged property’s “fair market value.”
  3. Using the “broad evidence rule,” which calls for considering all relevant evidence of the value of the damaged property.

Appraisal Clause

An appraisal clause is a clause or paragraph found in most but not all insurance policies. It is designed to reach a settlement when there is a dispute over the amount of a loss between you and your insurance company. Either party can invoke the appraisal clause.

Umpire Services

An independent party who reviews both reports from the Independent Appraisers (IA’s).  In the event of a disagreement between the IA’s that were hired by the Insurance Company and consumer, an independent umpire is chosen to review both files and make a final decision, this can apply on an Actual Cash Value, Diminished Value and/or an Estimate Dispute situation.
